Welcome Back & Stadium Update
Dear Parents and Families,
Welcome back! I hope your summer was filled with joy, relaxation, and quality time with loved ones. Over the past year, I have had the privilege of learning the values, traditions, and spirit that make Longview such a special place. This year, we will be developing a new strategic plan to ensure stakeholder voice is recognized and that our efforts are aligned and focused on what matters most- student academic achievement and well-being.
As we begin a new school year, I would like to sincerely thank you for your ongoing support of Longview Public Schools. The district is making significant
improvements to Memorial Stadium, thanks to the generous support of Longview voters who approved the replacement capital projects and technology levy in April 2022.
Thanks to JH Kelly, a trusted partner the district has successfully collaborated with on numerous past projects, we expect an on-time completion, just in time for kickoff! Join us for the first home football game of the season when Mark Morris takes the field at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5. Please help us celebrate our students, schools, and community pride.
