Strategic Plan
Every Student. Every Day. Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow.
As we prepare for the 2026–27 school year, Longview Public Schools is proud to launch a new six-year Strategic Plan.
This Strategic Plan reflects the voices of 2,575 students, staff, families, and community members who participated in a district-wide year-long effort to help shape the future of Longview Public Schools. Facilitated by The Scholar First, we listened, learned, and engaged with stakeholders across the community, resulting in a student-centered plan that will serve as our roadmap over the next six years.
One of the most powerful outcomes of this process came directly from our students. Feedback gathered from all 14 schools inspired our Vision of the Student Experience:
I Belong. I Believe. I Achieve.
This vision reflects our commitment to creating learning environments where every student feels valued, connected, and seen. When students experience belonging, they build confidence in their unique strengths, believe in their potential, and are empowered to achieve their goals and dreams.
At the heart of the Strategic Plan is our district promise:
Every Student. Every Day. Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow.
Selected by 2,659 students, staff members, and families, this promise captures our shared commitment to academic excellence, meaningful relationships, and preparing students for success beyond graduation. Students from our high schools designed the district's new logo, creating a visual representation of our collective vision and commitment.
As we launch the Strategic Plan in the 2026–27 school year, we move from planning to action. Over the coming years, this plan will guide our work, inform our decisions, and help ensure that every student experiences a sense of belonging, believes in their potential, and achieves success.
Thank you for your continued partnership, commitment, and unwavering dedication to the success of our students.
