Longview Public Schools help students launch successfully into college and career. We’d like to introduce a number of our (fairly recent) graduates and highlight their accomplishments and career trajectories. Here is a notable Rising Star:

“Growing up as an immigrant in Cowlitz County, I did not believe it was possible for me to go to university. It wasn’t until I met Mrs. Lynn Nelson at Mount Solo Middle School that I knew I had a chance. She excelled in her duties as a math and science teacher and encouraged me apply myself to be a better student. I am now working on my Master of Science degree in Conflict Resolution, while also working full-time with the Federal Government. Thanks to Mrs. Nelson and Longview Public Schools I have been given the chance to give back to the country that took a chance on my family and me. I will always be grateful for the support and encouragement.”
