Important Hybrid Learning Information

Monticello Students at lunch together

Dear Parents and Guardians,

To get students ready to return to school, it is important for us to revisit the hybrid plans that were created in the fall. Elementary schools resumed in-person learning on January 11th and middle school students are scheduled to return to in-person learning when the Cowlitz County Covid-19 infection rate drops into the moderate range. This means middle school students could be coming back to school for hybrid in-person learning in late January or early February.

In Person Learning Option: Hybrid Model

As you may remember, students will receive in-person instruction based on their last names.

A Day: Students with Last Names A-K

Monday & Thursday In-Person 7:55am-2:25pm

Tuesday & Friday Attend Classes Remotely Via Zoom 7:55am-2:25pm

Wednesday is set aside for remote classwork.

B Day: Students with Last Names L-Z

Monday & Thursday Attend Classes Remotely Via Zoom 7:55am-2:25pm

Tuesday & Friday In-Person 7:55am-2:25pm

Wednesday is set aside for remote classwork.

Full Remote Option

Students also have the option to remain in full remote learning. Remote learning students will receive daily online instruction during the week following their class schedule via Zoom. Wednesdays are also being set aside to provide support for full remote students. If you previously planned on keeping your child in full-time remote learning and want to send them back for in-person school, you can make that change.

What do we need from you right now?

Please prepare your child to return to in-person learning by reviewing school safety protocols such as wearing a face covering, maintaining six feet of distance from others and regularly washing hands. If your decision for your child to attend in-person or full remote has changed, please contact our guidance office at 360-575-7042. Finally, please check your email regularly for more back-to-school updates.

Thanks

Mr. Merzoian
