Graduation is coming soon and Longview Public Schools would like to recognize graduating seniors who currently hold a cumulative 4.0 GPA. As a part of this recognition, we asked our cumulative 4.0 graduates the following questions.

What is a tip or habit that has helped you achieve a 4.0 GPA?

I almost always put thought and effort into my assignments, producing work of quality.

What advice would you give underclassmen about high school?

I would advise underclassmen to be willing to put mental effort into their classes, treating them as an opportunity to learn. A class is far more valuable if you are willing to apply yourself, think critically, and understand the topics, rather than simply memorizing what is necessary to pass.

What are some of your best memories from high school?

Some of my best memories from high school are participating in the knowledge bowl and robotics club.

What teacher had the most impact on you and how will you remember them?

If I had to choose one teacher that had the most impact on me in High School, it would be Mr. Stello. He taught my freshman science, and chemistry classes when I attended Castle Rock High School. He left Castle Rock to teach at Mark Morris the same year I transferred to Mark Morris, so I was also in his physics class. All of his classes were interesting and well-taught. I learned a substantial amount from them.

What are your plans after high school?

I intend to pursue a career in technology and plan to get a degree in computer engineering. I will likely either attend Oregon State University next year or may attend LCC for my first two years and then transfer, depending on how much scholarship funding I receive.

Longview Public Schools is proud of every one of its students! We hope their futures are full of amazing opportunities!
