Dear Parents and Families,

In a special school board meeting last night, the board unanimously voted to bring high school students back for hybrid in-person learning starting March 1, 2021. Incoming freshmen orientation will take place on February 25-26.

Due to the rapid downward trend in the COVID-19 infection rate, and advice from county health officials we believe we can safely return all of our students to hybrid, in-person learning.  We are excited to welcome our middle school students back on the 22nd and once we get our high school students back on March 1, all of our students will have the opportunity for in-person learning in a hybrid model.  It is nice to be getting back to a bit of normalcy.

Please watch for detailed information from your child’s school as we prepare to bring high school kids back to the classroom. If you have questions please call your school or email infoteam@longviewschools.org.

Thank you for supporting our schools and your children through this difficult time. And please continue to do your part to lessen the transmission of this virus through regular hand washing and maintaining 6 feet of distance while wearing a face covering in public places.

Respectfully,

Dan Zorn, Superintendent
