Position: Substitute Custodian

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Schedule: Hours will vary from 4-8 hours per day, on an as-needed basis
Pay: $19.28/hr

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
1.        Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
2.        Ability to lift 60 pounds and place on a table 4 feet off the ground.
3.        Must be physically able to perform the essential job functions.
4.        Able to read, with understanding, hazardous chemical warning labels.
5.        Demonstrated aptitude for successful completion of the tasks assigned.
6.        Prior successful custodial experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (to include but not limited to):
1.        Working knowledge of industrial cleaning materials, equipment, and appropriate cleaning practices.
2.        Keep the building neat and clean.
3.        Clean and sanitize sinks, drinking fountains, and toilets.
4.        Dry mop, wet mop, and machine scrub hard surface floors.
5.        Vacuum, spot clean and hot water extract carpets.
6.        Operate wet/dry vacuum; empty wet/dry vacuum canister
7.        Wash windows, walls, and furniture.
8.        Dust flat surfaces.
9.        Clean light fixtures and air vents.
10.        Empty and wash wastebaskets.
11.        Empty garbage cans.
12.        Secure building as directed by Building Maintenance Person.
13.        Report building and equipment maintenance repairs to Building Maintenance Person.
14.        Other job-related duties as assigned.
15.        Maintain a record of punctuality, dependability, and consistent attendance.

Immigration Reform and Control Act Requirement: New employees will be required to complete an INS 1-9 form and must provide proof of employment eligibility.
Disclosure Statement and Background Check: Pursuant to RCW 43.43.830 through RCW 43.43.840, new employees will be required to complete a disclosure form indicating any convictions of crimes against persons as listed in the law.  In addition, a background check based on fingerprints will be requested from the Washington State Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
