We would like to take a moment to recognize our amazing orchestra students for their extraordinary accomplishments!

A message from Dr. Lanette Shepherd:

I want to offer a special congratulations to our talented orchestra students who did an amazing job performing at the SWWMEA Orchestra Festival yesterday at LCC Rose Center. These students also did a fantastic job running the competition, managing 14 orchestras from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The judges were very tough, but our Longview schools ranked highest among all the groups in the region. The chamber orchestra was the only group in the whole region to earn a Superior rating, and 1st period ranked second. They were so close to receiving a superior rating, getting an Excellent instead.

Congratulations once again to our orchestra students!
