HOSA for RAL/MM is running a Forensic Day Camp this Friday 1/24 a non-school day for 4, 5, & 6 graders.
Enjoy 3 hours of Forensic Science fun at RA Long High School! HOSA members along with coaches, certificated staff and C.H.A.M.P. volunteers will lead your student through a series of forensic activities designed to improve science and teamwork skills and understanding, in the safe, friendly environment of RAL. Students will work in teams of 3-6, under close supervision of teachers as they navigate the world of forensic science.
Students will learn about fingerprinting, DNA analysis, taking and observing hair samples, investigating a crime scene, learn how a lie detector test works, see skin cells under a microscope and analyze MRIs and CT scans. All of the investigating will go into a case file in which the students will determine what happened to our victim (Charlie the CPR doll).
This is a fundraiser for HOSA, a club for future medical professionals.
