2025 Recognition Posts - Volunteer - Web Posts - Carissa Jackson - Robert Gray - December

Longview Public Schools is proud to recognize Carissa Jackson of Robert Gray Elementary as our December Volunteer of the Month!

Carissa has two students at Robert Gray and has quickly become an integral part of the school community. She generously gives her time and energy to support a wide range of school activities, from organizing engaging student experiences during the school day to helping lead family engagement events after school. Her enthusiasm and willingness to help wherever needed make a meaningful difference for students, staff, and families alike.

This year, Carissa has taken on an even greater leadership role through her involvement with the PTO, where she was elected Treasurer. She recently helped organize Robert Gray’s Fall Family Fun Night, bringing together games, food trucks, and music for a memorable community celebration. She also brought joy and laughter to staff during the busy days leading up to winter break by helping organize the “Penguin in Your Pocket” activity — a small but thoughtful gesture that made a big impact.

According to the volunteer sign-in log, Carissa has already contributed more than 34 hours (over 2,090 minutes) of volunteer service this school year in support of students, families, staff, and the PTO. Her dedication, creativity, and positive spirit truly reflect the values of our schools.

Congratulations, Carissa, and thank you for the time, care, and heart you bring to the Robert Gray Elementary community!
