April is National Occupational Therapist Month. For April, we at Longview Public Schools would like to feature each of our fantastic Occupational Therapists. They all do so much for the students in our community and we can't thank them enough for the work they do.

This week's Occupational Therapist is Debbie Welch, here is her bio.

"Hi, My name is Debbie Welch and I am one of the Occupational Therapists at Longview Public Schools. This is my 21st year working as an OT.  I have primarily worked in school districts in California, Oregon and Washington.  Over the years, I have been able to be a part of therapy teams that have gone to Bosnia and Ecuador to work with children with special needs.  I live in Portland with my husband Steve and 13 year old daughter Mila.  I enjoy reading, biking, hiking, walking, crafts such as quilling and embroidery and I love to weed the garden.  It is great to be a part of the Longview Public School family!"

Stay tuned next week to learn about another wonderful Occupational Therapist!
