  • Heard student star polisher as follows:
  • ·       Mark Morris student Adam Nixon named Mr. Smith as his star polisher because, “Mr. Smith takes great care to broaden the mind and perspective of his students. To prepare for the academic rigors of the AP exam, and more importantly what comes after, he relentlessly pushes our ability to think about our reading, how it compares to what we know, and what it means to us specifically. Mr. Smith's tough but forgiving emphasis on student learning and expression demonstrates his tenacity and strengths as a teacher but also creates a comfortable and enjoyable class to learn in.”
  • ·       R.A. Long student Dylan Herbert named Mrs. Reeves as her star polisher because, Mrs. Reeves is a kind, caring person who is willing to make a difference in the minds and being of her students and knows the right way to guide them through it. She is a person who has had life experience and wants to help kids improve and be someone better than they are at that moment. She just wants the best for her "kids" as she calls us.”
