At their March 13, 2023 regular meeting, the Board of Directors:

• Approved the consent agenda which contained the February 27, 2023, regular meeting minutes, the personnel report, and the warrants. 
• Recognized School Retirees' Appreciation Week and the Education Support Professionals' Week, which both occur in March. Dr. Zorn commended both retirees for continuing to remain involved with the district and its students in many different volunteer capacities, noting their support of schools and students is vital. He also recognized all support staff and the critical work they do for the district, its students and families and mentioned support staff are the backbone of the district and their work is incredibly important.
• Recognized Star Polishers Mrs. Opgrande who was identified by Monticello student Tamikah MacDonald for helping her calm down and making her care about school.
• Recognized Star Polisher Mrs. Jullian who was identified by Cascade student Aubrianna Perkins for telling her she is a great kid and always puts a smile on her face. 
• Learned that Monticello Middle School will be hosting a districtwide ELL Family Night and that Dr. Zorn plans to present information on literacy at that event.
• Scheduled a Board Workshop for Monday, March 20 to discuss facility updates.
• Adopted Policy 2020 Course Design, Selection and Adoptions of Instructional Materials, Policy 2021 Library Information and Technology Program, and Policy 2108 Learning Assistance Program. 
• Conducted a first reading on Policy 3413 Student Immunization and Life-Threatening Health Conditions. 
• Discussed legislative matters.
