Kinder Bridge is Longview’s early learning kindergarten prep program for 4-year-olds. This is a FREE full day program! It provides qualified students with a high-quality early learning experience and is designed to provide an equitable start for children who have not previously been able to access early learning experiences because of barriers like cost.
This program is for children who are 4 years old as of August 29, 2024. Families will be contacted for screenings by the Kinder Bridge team.
If your child will be 4 years old by August 29, 2024, and would benefit from early learning before kindergarten, but cost has been a barrier, fill out an application linked on this page.
Families that have submitted an application will be invited for a family conference and student screening. Screenings must occur before the first day of school. Families should expect to spend about one hour at this screening appointment.
Towards the end of August 2024 Kinder Bridge students will be scheduled for a screening to see if they qualify for the program. The screenings will be followed by parent meetings and a week of transition for the kids to get used to going to school. Check back soon for more information.
We encourage parents to apply to Head Start/ECEAP or use the Child Care Aware WA State system to see what is available in our community before considering Kinder Bridge. Longview Public Schools partners with Head Start and ECAP to collaboratively see which program fits the needs of our community's families.
