Kinder Bridge is Longview’s early learning kindergarten prep program for 4-year-olds. This is a FREE full day program! It provides qualified students with a high-quality early learning experience and is designed to provide an equitable start for children who have not previously been able to access early learning experiences because of barriers like cost.
This program is for children who are 4 years old as of August 31, 2022. Families will be contacted for screenings by the Kinder Bridge team.
If your child will be 4 years old by August 31, 2022, and would benefit from early learning before kindergarten, but cost has been a barrier, fill out an application provided on this page.
Paper enrollment forms are also available at the District Office (2715 Lilac Street) or Broadway Learning Center (1410 8th Avenue) in Longview.
Families that have submitted an application will be invited to the Broadway Early Learning Center for a family conference and student screening. Screenings must occur before the first day of school, which is November 1, 2022 for this program. Families should expect to spend about one hour at this screening appointment.
There are limited slots for eligible students. If there are additional open slots available for enrollment after we have accepted all eligible applicants, a lottery system will be used to fill the remaining slots.
We encourage parents to apply to Head Start/ECEAP or use the Child Care WA State system to see what is available in our community before considering Kinder Bridge. Longview Public Schools partners with Head Start and ECAP to collaboratively see which program fits the needs of our community's families.
