Announcements for early dismissals could happen at anytime during the school day. If a winter storm or other situation requires an early student release local media stations will be notified. If the roads are not safe, your student will be delivered according to the modified bus routes that are listed in this notice.
Important: It is the parent’s responsibility to insure the child’s safety to and from the pickup and drop off locations during SNOW ROUTES.
Please instruct your student(s) what to do should there be an early school closure when you are not home during the day.
When a weather or emergency situation happens that causes unsafe travel in the early morning, the district will implement a two hour district wide late start. All bus routes will run two hours behind their regularly scheduled times. Lowland bus routes, when used, will be in effect in the morning and announced by noon for the afternoon runs. Broadway AM Preschool classes will be cancelled.
If your area is unsafe for school bus travel, the radio will announce LOWLAND ROUTES OR SELECTED LOWLAND ROUTES. Listed on the right are the student pick up times and locations for lowland routes. If your area is not listed, pick up times and locations are normal.
Parents may feel that driving a personal vehicle is unsafe. Therefore, the students affected by lowland routes who cannot safely travel to bus pick up points will have an excused absence.
