Nestled in the beautiful Maritime Northwest at the confluence of the Cowlitz and Columbia rivers, Longview, Washington, was named one of American’s Prettiest Towns by Forbes magazine.
Our historic, family-oriented community of approximately 37,000 is located along the Interstate 5 corridor. Longview boasts a variety of cultural and recreational offerings, including a community theater, a symphony, arts exhibits and festivals. We are 145 miles south of Seattle and 50 miles north of Portland, within 90 minutes of ocean beaches to the west and the Cascade Range to the east.
Local opportunities for higher education include Lower Columbia College, which offers career training certificates, associate’s degrees and options for bachelor’s degrees. Forty minutes away, the Vancouver campus of Washington State University offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees.
Home to a deep-water port with expanding international trade, Longview and the adjacent city of Kelso serve approximately 75,000 residents in a 45-mile trading area.
