Patti Bowen, Acting Superintendent
Patti Bowen serves as the Acting Superintendent for Longview Public Schools, bringing more than two decades of experience in public education and school district leadership. She began her career in public education with the Toledo School District in 2003 and joined Longview Public Schools in 2014.
In addition to serving as Acting Superintendent, Patti serves as the district’s Executive Director of Business Services. She oversees the district’s financial operations, budgeting, purchasing, nutrition services, IT and other business functions. Her leadership has helped ensure stable, responsible funding that supports educational programs, staff, facilities, transportation, and student services.
Patti has deep roots in Cowlitz County and the surrounding region. Raised in the Longview-Kelso area and a graduate of Toledo High School, she has longstanding ties to the community and a strong understanding of its values and the important role public schools play in the lives of students and families. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and has built a distinguished career centered on fiscal stewardship, operational excellence, and supporting student success.
Known for her integrity and collaborative leadership style, Patti has earned the trust and respect of colleagues, employees, and community members throughout her career. Her passion for public education and commitment to serving students remains at the heart of her work.
As Acting Superintendent, Patti is committed to lead with care, keeping students at the center of every decision, and working alongside staff, the board, and district leadership to meet the community's needs. At its core, that means advancing the essential work of public education: ensuring every student is safe, supported, valued, and empowered to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
