District News

Dear St. Helens Parents and Families,

Over the past few weeks, the number of new COVID infections in our community has grown. We have seen the impact of higher community infection rates at St. Helens Elementary as several families and students recently contracted the COVID-19 virus.  As a result of contact tracing and other health concerns, student and staff absences have been very high recently.

Dear Parents and Families,

From September 1 until today, the Cowlitz County COVID-19 infection rate has increased over 600 percent, which includes a tripling over the past two weeks. Due to the rapid increase in infections and its impact on our schools, the district will pause hybrid in person learning and move to remote learning for all students starting November 30, 2020.
